About
Hi, I'm Brandon.
I live in Naples, Florida, and I've spent close to a decade selling software — the last stretch of it at Cloudflare, where I work with enterprise customers on the infrastructure nobody notices until it breaks.
Sales is the job. It's also the education. You sit across from a few hundred companies a year and you start to see the pattern underneath: who's actually growing, who's cost-cutting and calling it strategy, which technology bets are real and which ones are a slide in a board deck. That's most of what I write about here.
The interesting part is never the announcement. It's what had to be true for the announcement to happen.
Outside of work I follow markets more closely than is probably healthy, argue about football and college realignment, and build small things on the internet to keep my hands dirty. This site is one of them — Astro, Tailwind, deployed on Cloudflare Pages, written and shipped in an afternoon.
This is a personal blog, so I take positions. I'm going to be wrong in public sometimes. That's the deal — I'd rather commit to a view and revise it than hedge everything into mush. If you think I've got something backwards, tell me. That's usually the best email I get all week.
If you want the professional version, that's on LinkedIn. If you want the fast version, it's on X. This is the long version.
